Pole Vaulting with Flying Spirit

This is a Pole Vaulting Athletics website aimed at helping athletes achieve excellence. Coach Egryn Jones is a Director of Sport and former Welsh International Pole Vaulter. The group has a 'Flying Spirit'.

The aim is to develop this site by promoting the profile of the athletes in the group and gain support through sponsorship.

Differentiated groups are coached throughout the week. Many are already Great Britain internationals, some have competed in Major Championships, are National record holders and others are aspiring Internationals. Equipment is costly, mainly with pole vaulting poles. The value and commitment to the athletes will promote excitement to achieve in the 2012 Olympic Games as well as other Championships.

The ensuing pages will look towards educating athletes, identify the athletes' profiles, and outline the support that is needed.

Janine Whitlock -Women's UK Pole Vault Record - 4.46m. Janine cleared another UK Record of 4.47m later in the year in the Crystal Palace Grand Prix.

COMMONWEALTH CHAMPION - JADE IVE

CONGRATULATIONS to Jade Ive. She flew out to Pune (IND) to compete for England (Oct 2008) in the Youth Commonwealth Games and has returned with the GOLD medal, a Games record and British Junior record of 4.05m. Well done girl !!!
